Raglans – Self-titled EP

Debut EP from much respected Dublin band Raglans.

Video Review: The Man from Glasgow is the lead track from the debut EP by Dublin band Raglans. The cheeky indie tune has a decent if unoriginal video accompanying it. The first half of the video finds the band members walking around Dublin with the second half features the band with their instruments. The 4-way split screen doesn’t add anything spectacular to the song except that it keeps your interest enough to possibly stay with the song until the end. The more I listen to the song the more I like it with it’s funky bass line and clever lyrics. A possible radio hit for Raglans? Hopefully!

TKO – Keystone EP

“Keystone is a three track EP. In the olden days it would have been called a single with a couple of B-sides. I’m glad we’ve moved on a bit because to my ears the second track ‘Hiding in the Corner’ is the better track than the radio friendly lead track ‘The Busker’. When I seen TKO last week there was particular edge to the performance and the tracks. The violins, sax and clarinet at times add a European grittiness to the sound. The lead song ‘The Busker’ is missing some of that grit, although is a fine song in it’s own right.” 2uibestow 9 out of 12
